PORTRAITS
These are paintings of people that I know well and are close to me. They are family and friends where I have explored a way of showing and making a narrative around a certain aspect of their lives. Often this reflects the creative sides of their lives whether they are yoga practitioners, dancers or quilt makers. I try to embellish their portraits with activities and experiences that play a key role in their lives, which makes them both unique individuals and connects them to the rest of us as well.
